The 417 Ministry Residency is an 8-month leadership development program designed to equip aspiring ministers, church staff, and ministry leaders with practical training, biblical instruction, and mentoring from experienced leaders.

Directed by Dr. Craig Liscom, the residency brings together more than 20 local pastors and Missouri ministry leaders who invest in residents through interactive teaching and discussion.

Training topics include:

• Interpreting Scripture (Hermeneutics)
• Teaching God's Word with clarity and power (Homiletics)
• How the Holy Spirit works (Pneumatology)
• Strategic Planning
• Leading healthy teams
• Developing Other Leaders
• Casting vision
• Multiplying disciples
• Evangelism training
• The basics of biblical counseling
• Developing a personal 5-year ministry strategy
• Apologetics
• Discipling Kids and Youth
• Leading dynamic small groups
• And many other practical leadership skills to help you become a more effective ministry leader.

The 2026–2027 Residency begins Tuesday, September 8, and meets every other Tuesday from 6:00–7:30 a.m. The program is open to anyone living in the 417 area code, with preference given to members of Greene County Baptist Association churches.
